A few weeks ago, our family said goodbye to our beloved Buddy. He was approaching his 16th birthday, and for nearly 16 years, he filled our lives with companionship, laughter, comfort, and countless memories. Losing him has left a space in our home—and in our hearts—that is impossible to put into words.
So much of Buddy’s life, along with the adventures of our other Cockapoos, Lucky, Monroe, and Montley's life with us was documented online through Coffee and Cockapoos. That little corner of the internet became a beautiful scrapbook of our lives with our dogs. Looking back now, we're incredibly grateful that we took the time to capture those everyday moments—the silly ones, the ordinary ones, and the memories we never realized would one day mean so much.
With Buddy’s passing, our Cockapoo chapter has come to an end. But our life with dogs certainly hasn’t.
We still have three wonderful girls who keep our home full of personality, energy, mischief, and love: Lily, Bindi, and Coco. Each one is wonderfully different, and each has her own story waiting to be told.
That’s why I created Girls Paws, a new blog and vlog dedicated to these three girls and the life we share with them.
This will be a place to document their adventures, personalities, quirks, milestones, and all those little moments that make living with dogs so special. From the funny things they do to the lessons they teach us, from everyday life at home to new places and experiences, I hope to capture the journey as it unfolds.
In many ways, Girls Paws is a new beginning, but it is also a continuation of the love story that started with Buddy and all the dogs who came after him. Their paw prints will always be part of our story.
Now, it’s time to turn the page and see where these three girls take us next.
